30 Years of Hustle, Growth & Trust
From a few engines hauled in the back of a pickup to a major Phoenix engine-core operation, Franco’s Core has grown through hard work, relationships, and a commitment to serving builders right.
Francisco Hernandez founded Franco’s Core in Phoenix, building the family business from the ground up with a focus on supplying dependable engine cores.
What began with a handful of engines grew into full truckloads of wholesale cores as demand increased and the company continued expanding.
Local mechanics began asking to purchase usable parts surrounding the engine cores. That demand transformed previously scrapped components into a growing retail parts business.
More than 30 years later, Franco’s Core serves wholesale accounts, professional mechanics, engine rebuilders, and everyday DIY customers while staying true to the same family-business values.
Whether you are buying a single replacement part for your daily driver or dropping off a cylinder head for machining, we treat you right. See what our actual customers have to say about their experience
Real feedback from customers who rely on Franco’s Core for engine parts, rebuildable cores, and precision machine-shop services.

Great place. They have just about everything one can look for. I was impressed with their level of service and understanding of parts. There wasn't a question I asked that they didn't have an answer for. Will be back again.![]()

So Sad..I'm going to Have to Rate this Wrecking Yard a 1 star I have been buying parts nevertheless I'mma return customer .. I bought Gaskets and they gave me two left ones..My Mechanic had to stop and wait for me..the audacity I had to go back and return One of them and get the right one which it was a big inconvenience for me @ traffic hour at that . 3:30 jammed congested going back and plus I was told that I can go ahead and buy it at a other store which doesn't make sense to me why am I going to waste more time and go in circles.. and Go Back and Forth inconveniently ..when I can just return the wrong part was then given to me. Common sense talks for itself.. they wanted to return my money Back.. Which All I wanted the right proper part whoever gave me the wrong part is at fault and they're trying to blame me that it's my fault.. I was told I should have looked at it when giving to me ..You're the store !!! You got to do your Job and not give out Wrong unmatched Parts.., As a Middle person picking up a Part I should had given the right part..Really Shame on yourself..all I ask for a $10. Compensate for gas money which it didn't even cover my time.Whatever your policy sign says on your window .. it didn't make sense pointing at Your policy sign.. because you gave me the wrong PART ! You should have worked with me to keep me as a Return Customer but you didn't ! Very unprofessional !!
